This program is jointly organized by the Center for Unified Biometrics and Sensors (CUBS) and the Center of Excellence in Information Systems Assurance Research and Education (CEISARE) at the University at Buffalo, in collaboration with the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), a banking research institute established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).


The mission of the Center for Unified Biometrics and Sensors (CUBS) is to advance the science of biometric technologies for both civilian and homeland security applications by integrating pattern recognition and machine learning algorithms with sensors technology. One of the missions of CEISARE is to increase awareness in information assurance (IA) by arranging seminars, conferences and workshops. The goal of this five and half-day workshop is to educate Information Security executives in banking and financial institutions in the area of information assurance and management so that they are better prepared to deal with malicious attacks targeted at their systems and network. This week-long workshop will cover a broad range of topics including management of information security, risk analysis and mitigation, cyber attacks and countermeasures, collection and analysis of digital evidence. The topics will be covered by experienced speakers from academia, industry and government agencies and will also feature panels of experts engaging in interactive discussions with the participants.
